GaleniCare pharmacies - Information and task management plateform

Digitalisation of business / Quality and traceability

With the pharmacies Amavita, Sun Store and Coop Vitality, GaleniCare operates the largest network in Switzerland with more than 300 stores. The company was looking for an IT partner who could set up an efficient communication platform between the head office and the 300 pharmacies.

Fabrice Granzotto, Head of IT Development & Applications at GaleniCare Management AG uses a picture: "It's as if we have a microphone here and there are loudspeakers in each of the pharmacies to distribute the information."

The prerequisite was that the platform was created with Microsoft SharePoint, by a company that was very advanced with this set of software and their customization.

More than an intranet

"In this project, we have therefore exploited the full power of SharePoint by adapting it to our specific needs. We therefore not only needed a partner who knew SharePoint, but also experts who were motivated to follow us in this adventure", says Fabrice Granzotto.

Infoteam Digital has developed a greatly improved intranet, as each pharmacy has its own portal, i.e. its own particular vision of the platform. Thus, when a pharmacy validates a task that it has been called upon to carry out, it will disappear from the screen, while remaining present on the screens of other pharmacies that have not yet completed the task.

This way of managing general information by adapting it to each person's needs was at the heart of the project.

Passion as the key to success

The collaboration with Infoteam has been very fluid and pragmatic," continues Fabrice Granzotto. "They dared to take the risk of building on an existing base, which was not theirs. We also had a very ambitious schedule, as we completed this project in 5 months. What really impressed us was the passion shown by Infoteam. We often had the impression that it was their own project. They were really thinking along with us. That's the best added value."
